End Of May Update - YogBox, Kingdoms Tier #4

So I've been meaning to post this for a while, so I might as well post it all in one go.

Lately I've been screwing around with the YogBox, I've not tried it since the early days so I thought it'd be interesting to try again, especially after the videos using it that I've seen from people I'm subscribed to on YouTube. I', not sure really how the Millenaire with it - works within this, as they seem to just build anyway. I can't find any sort of "town hall" either. After a while of pratting around I eventually decided I had to face the battle tower I had seen nearby. I'll tell you one thing though, now I can understand why inthelittlewood on YouTube jumps at the boss at the top! That noise is horrible, horrible! Thankfully, after dying a few times, one of his attacks backfired and he fell through the floor underneath him! This meant I could attack him through the doorway of the next floor down. I did it however, and lived there for a while, converting what was left of said battle tower after it crumbled, into a home.

I also found a tree behind it that was naturally made out of logs.  I thought it was so cool that I decided to made a hole in the side to place a door and use it for a tree house, but it was a;ready occupied! A number of skeletons bosses lived there, and slightly more powerful one at the top as well! there was also nasty stuff in a basement I found!

Moving on..

Don't hate me for still not updating the banner! After this post I promise!

The Enchantment room is done! The triple sized reed farm along the shore line helped greatly, and last from last time, It has gone from this:

Three-quarters of the way around the room to this:

As previously mentioned, all the floor is made up of bookcases as well. There has also been a major change to the back room the the rear of the mountain the one that faces the "Eye Mountain " on the other side of the water which has the Portal to the nether. Up until now this has just been carved into the mountain, and so was still largely made out of stone and made from the natural formation of the mountain. Also, the only way to get to this room was out the front down and up to the left where I dug into the mountain, down a short corridor in the mountain, followed by a much longer one. However I had an idea... I was describing this world and surrounding area on the Minecraft forums and took this picture:

The dirt bridge across to the portal gave me an idea to do another one exactly the same on the left side - to mark the formation of a proper bridge across! At the moment I think it might be a glass bridge, but following the recent trend on World #2 of creating new stair cases to existing places, I set about trying to see if there was a way to this room from inside the house, instead of outside and through a dirt corridor in the mountain.

After digging around I came out just along the upstairs corridor a little way down from the Enchantment room door! Now instead of going out my front door and through a dirt corridor in the mountain, I could access it easily from Upstairs inside the house. Here is the progress of the room so far:

It still needs furnishing, but as you can see it's a world of a difference! No, I couldn't decide whether I wanted the wall around the door or not, (Originally going to be just gates out), but I decided it would ruin the view. I just wouldn't get that 180 degree view, the only way to do it - as I was using glass panes, was to have glass blocks around the door and mixing it up with panes, but it's worked out pretty nice. I'll have this as a little lobby/observation area/waiting room, so maybe some tables and seating eventually etc.

In making this post today however, and taking some of these screen-shots, I found myself at the spawn point when i opened this world - with no weapons/tools, anything. I don't remember loosing them. Maybe I died and rage-quit? I don't remember. Luckily I have plenty of iron though.

Kingdom of Animus
I am on the verge of a Tier level #4 kingdom! I was mistaken before, there is a large house that has to be built on level #3, it was on the right of the menu so I must have missed it. Three small houses and one large houses. The workers built a small house first, then the large and another small. and only the other day, I set them to build the chapel, which, - with me being non-religious, was always going to come last. What a fine chapel it is though!:

Even for a generated structure, I have have to say it is quite impressive! Currently I am gathering materials for the upgrade to level #4 tier, but have made provisions for my belongings this time. Just outside the kingdom, on the site of one of the former wrecked villages I have made a very small hut. (It really is very small!) It is enough however to store a double chest of my belongings though, so I won't lose anything in the upgrade this time and it won't be wiped out by the upgrade, I may expand it properly over time however.
It's also very handily across the narrow river by my mining cave.

I've flattened the one block dirt grass blocks lying about and have been filling the pot holes with dirt and replacing the cobblestone in the ground, (Seen in the last picture), with dirt also, to grass over. Eventually I'll take out all the nether blocks too and replace them with dirt for a nice grassy area, restore the ground to as nature intended before it was burned down! You may also notice I've been busy planting trees around in my immediate area. more than anything it so I can expand the hut, but it looks nice too. There's pine, beech and normal oak trees. Each of these will have a torch around the bottom as well to help them grow faster as usual.

This hut is well away from my Kingdom so will not get touch/wiped out or affected by the upgrade to tier level #4, I look forward to expanding this house. In the mean-time I need plenty more logs for wood planks and about 3 stacks more cobble before I can go on to level #4! it's coming! What new buildings await?!

Also I accidentally pressed the "y" key and got this:

I don't know how it relates to the mod exactly yet, but I do know what Excalibur is, (Of course), and chose "Sword Form", so now I have a funky gold sword that I'll use as soon as my soon to be dead iron sword runs out! Maybe I should try other keys?.. I'm also thinking, IF the YogBox converts to 1.2.5 maybe combining it with Kingdom? More adventure, more danger?

For now though, on to Tier level #4!

Back To Bookcases..

Still really need to update that banner!.. Next time I promise!

Still working on the enchantment room! I have finished the bookcase floor however and have doubled the size of the reed farm, in fact - this morning I doubled it again! I was getting a couple of stacks but the time you craft it into books, only getting about 14 book cases. Currently I think it's 22 - 24 per time. The progress has been steady, and has been taking loads of wood too!

As it was the last time I posted about it:

As it's been growing:

All those floor-boards are bookcases too!

I also decided to move the long, narrow, storage room. I'm not sure why, but it just wasn't sufficient and will fill quickly. I like big storage rooms anyway so I went to the end of the last log pillar at the last chest and dug a hole down, then dig several steps down, and as it's more underground, I'm not as restricted by the size. It's not fully underground, so I did come out the sides of the very bottom of the mountain, but it's a vast improvement.

Old:

All cleared out..

Steps down..

New:

Early days yet, still more lighting to sort out, and the ceiling to do. At least it's bigger with a nice floor, plenty more room for storage.

Should have the enchantment room done soon. I also went mining for more Lapis for the bathroom but didn't find much, only enough for another block, tonnes of iron as usual and about 19 gold. One of the branches led me to a cave and after exploring it for a bit I found a dungeon a skeleton dungeon! Just one problem...

WTF?

What no chests?!!! Looted the mossy cobble stone though, have about 2 stacks of it now.

More updates as they come!

PUMPED for Kingdom of Animus!

Last time I mentioned my Kingdom, I was on the verge of starting a level #3 tier kingdom, and since then I have built the last two small houses needed to move on to the next stage.

As I prepared to level up I went around collecting my torches from around the outside of the trees, to make them grow faster, knowing I'd lose them in the upgrade. Unfortunately, I completely forgot to collect my stuff in the chests of one of the houses I stored it in, so did lose all that stuff. guess I was too excited. So I clicked the level up and as soon as I stepped outside the builder's house I was "WTF?!"-ing.. After realizing I could build a tavern, Mage Hall, and chapel and getting very excited at the first prospect - I noticed the paths. Gone are the gravel pathways, now paved with slabs! My kingdom has expanded slightly and gown to this:

I quickly went to the same corner of the wall and built myself up to take these shots and on the way, and when up there noticed the walls are now thicker and have their own walkways and circular fort sections! Amazed also by the nice fountains and glowstone street lights, the first thing I notice when up here of course is the farm.

Not gonna lie, my first thought was: "RAPE! RAPE THE FARM! PILLAGE!". I would never go hungry again, pumpkins, a hefty wheat farm and melons! So that's exactly what I did, plenty of food on me now. Already I have built the tavern and the Mage Hall, bu the the Mage Hall is bugged, can't click on him otherwise it'll go to "Saving chunks" and my Minecraft will crash.

The tavern.

Mage Hall.

Mage. (looking like a dude!)

I want to build the library next i think, I already have the wood, I just need the cobblestone. I've left my archer and knight guarding the front entrance of the kingdom at the moment, I've a feeling I'll need more of them soon/eventually. The cave where I get my cobblestone has been used so much now, that the walls are smooth, it doesn't look much look like a cave any more! This is the long part, getting the cobblestone. No big houses in level #3 tier either, just three small houses making up the rest of the kingdom.

On a side note, I picked up my Modern Mountain house again last night (1.9.5), and continued that and am still working on the enchantment room. Planted more reed for more paper, which is the slow part. Also made a map as I went wandering.

CREATIVE: Old Worlds Part #2

Continuing from last time, I mentioned I formed a new set of stairs on the inside to the rear lounge and bedroom of world #2. This is because on top of the mountain I wanted to turn it into a heli pad of sorts, which would need a building on the top, so I built this:

By creating this, the stairs down actually ran parallel to the old cobblestone corridor that ran between the bedroom and rear lounge. So when I decorated the corridor, bits of that decoration showed through the other side on the old corridor, so I closed it off completely. The stairs, after a few short winding corridors, eventually lead to where the mushroom farm is on the legit version.

Same view before:

Continuing on:

I know have some weird little medical facility where the old mushroom farm used to be. I like the idea of the building on top of the mountain the new corridors and stairs, but if I was doing this legit I probably wouldn't have an emergency treatment room & helipad, why would you need one in a residential building? I'd try and find another use for this room instead.

Aesthetically, the corridors have had a bit of a spruce up with paintings, and even the library has had a minor refurbishment with an entirely new wall nut floor, old fashioned wood deco and trap-doors/hatches in the sides of the book cases which make it look sooooo much better!

And the library:

Yep, the lava is still there, but it's sealed off now. Underneath the library we now have an old archive room, because it's dimly lit (Purposely), there are usually lots of mobs down there, especially spiders.

As you can also tell from the last entry about this side project, the bridge got a major over haull as well! From this:

To this!:

It's a work in progress though, and the church got a minor make over as well:

MOAR Aesthetics!:

Zero mobs on the boardwalk at night now.

The old jail cells at the bottom of the mountain by the lava pools, would now serve as the new Portal room when finished.

The last part, the finished art gallery, will have to be in the third and  final part as this post is too long already and there are lots of pictures for just the gallery alone. For this whole 3-part series I took 90 screen-shots and had to create a new photo folder, just for screen-shots for this blog now. In the last and final part though I'll show you the art gallery.

Although I won't posts about it, some of these changes I am implementing on the actual world, legit. The new access to the rear lounge & bedroom, the library upgrade, outside wall aesthetics, board-walk, inside corridors, dog house and church. All things listed are obtainable and do-able legit. Things like the bridge and emergency treatment/medical room won't be done.

Light changes..

So as I plan a build (On my creative copy) for the horrible chunk error wall next tot the hotel at the Chunk Plaza development, i've be...
