Future Plans

I've been playing a little less lately, but it has given me time to reflect and think; specifically about my worlds. The future, and future plans of my worlds..

Main World

After going back and playing a little Beta recently, I do miss getting an idea and just digging into a wall in my main home. That said, I don't think the inside is going to change much any more. I still have my other projects scattered away from the home - continuing interiors of Mount DOOOooom, The Chunk Plaza (Will I ever decide on the look of the outside of the hotel?!) and the new minecart tunnel to the mesa biome. I do have plans for that tunnel now, but I'll post that in a separate update, I also still need a LOT more gold for the rail boosters.

I did also fix the collection for the kelp farm, so none hang 3/4 of the way up.

AllBases

I'm a bit stuck with this one. After completing the new roof I'm a bit unsure where to go next with this project. The original goal was to just build a home on top of this great natural mound of land sticking out in the ocean, but I never really had any goals beyond that, so now I'm a bit stuck as to what to do next. I would like to continue it however.

1.9.5 home

This one I will continue to make improvements, however I recently lost all my inventory so I have to do a big grind again (As you do), so I need time before I'm ready to go at it again. I was on the way back out after a big mine session and died to unexpected lava. The old neutral mob pens cobble monstrosity - to the right of the pic is coming down in favor of the new modern barn. Right now I just have the cows in there but I figure I only need to keep maybe a couple and one chicken for eggs. I might move the cows and just have the sheep in there and divide the new barn up.

Still modifying the kitchen, I want to re-work the very old roofs, possibly the balcony, I have a skeleton far,m, a zombie far x2 and, I still have the big "eye" project holding the portal in the mountain across the water behind my home to continue.

Podzol Home

After changing the exterior dramatically, I am currently working on the inside but am a bit stuck. I started dividing the area of into separate rooms but then it felt too claustrophobic, so just the other day I undid this and have completely gutted the inside except for the kitchen.

Ravine Home

Really not sure about this one. It's a double dip ravine (One ravine leading into another, the second being the main home) and there's still a lot to do to try and make it look like a home and less like a ravine. That said, I do like using the upper level of the first entrance ravine as food farms and using the bottom abandoned mine as storage whilst retaining rail tracks around it.

Let me know if you have any ideas.

CHUNKBUSTERS!!

Resource Pack: Mostly default
Currently changed blocks: Stone slabs and stone bricks I have done myself for a long time, Terracotta I have just color picked the muted colours and just done a flat color - I can do texture later. andesite, diorote & their varients still need to be changed, red sandstone & varients I have recolored from default same as coarse dirt.

Shaders: BSL/default
Local difficulty: 3.88
Current location: McDunky's, Chunk Plaza
Current XP: 7
Data packs: 4x bark blocks, 12x trapdoors, anti-Enderman griefing, coal to ink, moar stairs & rotten flesh to leather.

After the latest download on December the 24th, I went away for Christmas and when I came back only played sporadically since. I've been taking my time and doing odd little jobs, one of which was putting a proper tree where the old coca bean farm was. For the download, I just planted a normal tree, but I had a go at making a custom Oak tree - something I've still yet to perfect.

I've also removed another unsightly chunk across the water from the Chunk Plaza. Previously last year, I removed a very tall chunk error - all by hand and without efficiency tools. There was still another unsightly slither of a chunk error behind it however and these days I have both pick-axe and shovel with efficiency IV to make short work of it this time.

The original first chunk that was demolished.

Slither that was left with "Fake island" on the remains of the previous chunk.

Yesterday I finally removed that last slither next to the fake island:

Around the corner there was also another chunk that I started removing well over a year & a half ago and never got back to - so I blew most of it up with TNT and efficiency pick'd and shoveled the rest:

Lastly, as I still try and work out the exterior look of the hotel at the Chunk Plaza (on a creative copy of the world), in survival I have been working on the interior of McDunky's next door. Last time it was only the front exterior that had green concrete, inside I had dirt placements where I wanted things and over the last day I have put a floor in and changed those dirt placements to permanent interior furnishings. (Still W.I.P.)

I've also currently emptied my Iron farm down to just 5 & 1/2 stacks of iron ingots and converted them for the rails for the giant tunnel to the Mesa biome that was dug out in December. I need it to stock back up as I need the iron for the kitchen at McDunky's - I want a very industrial metallic kitchen, but that will take a lot of Iron blocks!

An Age old problem...

In my main world of 8 years there has been something bugging me for over a year now, and that was the four flights of stairs down to storage. (Two small flights to a landing then two more short flights). Sure, it's been modernized over the years - taking stairs going from right down the middle to sideways to free up space, but no matter which way I've done it it's never been efficient.

The problem was right there from it's Alpha creation..

Over time, as storage, expanded, the furnaces and lava incinerator would move down and I knocked down the "Incinerator corner" and that last wall with the door. At one point over the early years I had a long bank of stairs coming down straight into the very middle of the last picture. It improved and evolved over the years with stairs hugging the walls, but still in this last year or more it's been bugging me.

More recent times:

Two short stairs down so far onto the landing for the rabbit enclosure.

Landing #2 then..

At the end of August, I created the extension past the furnace wall, a new wing for the first time in a few years due to the update aquatic and ID removal for future blocks 1.14/1.15. This had a second lower wing using water bubble columns in the former original extended library entrance, left empty after it was shortened. That room was then split into two levels, both water logged with bubble column entrance and exit.

So yesterday, after testing it on a creative copy; I decided to just bite the bullet and use similar bubble columns to get down and up from storage. Three, of the four stairs were demolished - right down to the second landing. This did mean however the bunny enclosure entrance was left stranded up there through the painting, so I created a little bubble column lift shaft that overhangs in the library to take me up there. I also put a new door way exit back into the underpass entrance to go back up the stairs (Also moved and rotated) into the main lobby at the top.

A window in the new lobby to storage where there was a wall breaks up that area
above the library reception. To it's right is the 3x4 window shaft that takes you down to storage using a soulsand bubble elevator.

The small bubble elevator lift shaft for the bunny enclosure, also in the library.

New door in the corner next to the table to come back out here and to the stairs
back up - previously of which were in the wall to the left going up facing opposite
the chest.

As for the new way to storage...

Yeah, this was taken before the last one so blocks with item frames have moved to the side!

Behind the water stream is the door where you come out.
(That overhangs in the library)

Direct exit up to lobby. The bunny water column is for when you need
to see the bunnies and/or go to the underground farm to exit that way.

At the moment it's a plain spruce floor at the bottom of the new storage lobby floor, but will likely change at some point. For now it's temporary, just as a placeholder. Finally I can have a way down to storage that doesn't bother me so much and make me grumble!

New Main World D/L for 1.13.2

WARNING: THE FILE IS A COUPLE OF GB SIZE DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE WORLD.

The newest world download, now for 1.13.2 is now live and available for download via the "Portal To Other Places" menu to the right. Please take note of the above file size. (Links directly to mediafire.)

INFO:
Most of the changes are listed in the accompanying notes, though it is maybe a bit rushed to get this release out. There is one thing to note however.

Resource packs - This release comes with the winter version and the standard version, both of these are stripped down versions however. They only now contain the blocks that are different, everything else is omitted and will be vanilla with the new textures at this time by Mojang. As always please do not redistribute.

Features:
This release sees the removal of a major area - the half-way house station and then hilly land joined onto it behind the old station building. This will be a new chance to see the all new (re-name) Chunk Plaza station which has been developed into two separate station platforms, with an interlinking gangway, and a small (Currently empty) station house.

There is also the option to travel to a 1.13 chunk through the main portal located at the bottom of the base in the Ender dragon's mouth. The iron door glass door) past the grinder and across the lava pools will take to to the "dragon's head" portal build. Or just follow the lit netherrack posts past the lava pools.

Happy Minecrafting, and have a great Christmas/holiday and new years!

Main world D/L on Target

I have successfully completed all my mini tasks that I need to ahead of the next world download, I've even altered some more roofs around the main home and am currently onto extras - and then some!

One such task, noted on the very last page of my book and quill was something that had been bothering me for a little while. That is the built up land underneath the coca bean farm, Originally there was an awful log building here years ago when there was a pumpkin farm, but when coca beans came about it was moved and so was the build - replaced with the farm we have today. The original objective was, "To come with a better design for around the coca bean farm". I then thought however when it came to it, that I never use the farm for dye or cookies, so I decided to move it to the underground farm with the other food farms. I found a space, but now the old place is quite bare! For now I have terraformed it a bit to make it more natural again, removing steps, and railings.

Some months ago I had cleared an ugly chunk error wall from the coast by Mount DOOOooom. and found a skeleton dungeon in the process. I had converted it to a grinder and build a tunnel to it directly from DOOOooom's 4th corner tower (The one built a year later than all the rest.) So far I had only created a rib cage like decoration for the tunnel, but now I am adding the meat!

The basic tunnel with rib cage before work.
Over time I will be adding lots of other blocks like red concrete, red terracotta, possibly nether wart blocks and maybe even netherbrick fence posts. I still have a roof to do at the chunk plaza, but I have replaced all the original oak trapdoor "Window shutters" with birch ones so it looks nicer.

At the moment I am looking to release the next download on the 21st December.

AllBases "Roofing Report"

Live from the scene!

Resource pack & Shaders: Conquest.

So after constant trips to a 1.13 chunk to get Diorite, after all this is a very old world; and cutting down both giant spruce trees and Dark Oak trees - I can finally say the roof is done!

From the front.

Coming out of the cave from my portal, this is a welcome sight upon returning home.
As I built the structure of the roof up, I also pushed the chests of storage stuff in the attic back against the framework. I now have a lot more room up there especially in the middle of the floor.

(Previously):

After:

I think I have just about replaced every oak timber inside with spruce or dark oak as well, all exterior torches are mounted on dark oak fence posts also.

Extra screenshots:

Nice view on the opposite side to the one with the bridge.

Over-looking my original beach spawn point where the tiki torches are.

At a bit of a loss as to what to do now though.

Light changes..

So as I plan a build (On my creative copy) for the horrible chunk error wall next tot the hotel at the Chunk Plaza development, i've be...
